Surprise!
I have decided my role, as the youngest and best dressed member of Team Hoos, is to be our social secretary. I realize that we cannot count on Mommy to disseminate information as there are cards sitting on the kitchen table that she has meant to mail to our relatives since shortly after I arrived in May. She has the best intentions but intentions don’t get things to the post office.
Last week was a whirlwind of fun for Mommy. The ladies with whom she works took her out to happy hour to celebrate an early birthday. She certainly doesn’t look her age (a lady never tells) but I need to discuss her inability to accessorize. The neckline of her dress clearly called for some kind of necklace. Oh dear, I will post a picture when I can to show you just how right I am about this. How is she going to raise me to be true Diva if she doesn’t realize the importance of accessories? I can’t fault her earring choice, as rubies are right for any occasion, or her gorgeous sling backs. She did however, celebrate with style. Wine and appetizers and loads of fun.
Daddy had special plans for her on her actual birthday. He surprised her by taking her out to dinner and having everyone join her, me included. Thank goodness! I was beginning to think my parents don’t know how important my social life is to me. I made sure to welcome everyone who joined us and compliment all the ladies on their lovely attire. I even sang for everyone in the bar while we waited for Mommy and Daddy to show up. Once again, mommy seriously needs to consider her accessories. She did manage to throw on a stunning bracelet so I might cut her some slack this time. I arranged with the tableside chef for some special entertainment to keep everyone happy. Pickyman especially enjoyed the theatrics and when the chef set things on fire. I will have to keep an eye on that one. I hope to post some pictures soon. I think everyone had a lovely evening, I tried my best to help as best I could. Daddy really surprised Mommy. What a lucky girl she is.
