Busy Summer
Wow it has been a busy summer and I realize I have neglected my blog. I was a very busy boy these last few months so I am sure everyone will understand. First, I spent a lot of time entertaining this summer. Grandma Laker and Aunt Karen came to stay while Sissy was busy being a Diva. Naturally, I wanted to be a good host so I made sure I took them the most interesting tourist spots (places with big slides), the best restaurants Charleston has to offer (McDonald’s) and lots of shopping (the super Wal-Mart has a McDonald’s what more could you ask for?). Of course, entertaining Gramma and Baba is a different story, they live here so I didn’t really need to show them the sites. I had to come up with some interesting games to keep them occupied, suggest that they find new slides for me to visit, and watch some high quality programs like Dora the Explorer and Thomas the Train. I did manage to get them to visit my favorite restaurant a few times - you can never have too much McDonald’s.
School also kept me busy. Summer was adventure camp days at school which means we had lots of special projects. I got to dress up like a cowboy, wear my favorite team apparel (go Hoosiers! go Irish!), learn about pirates, play in the sprinklers, visit the ice cream truck and of course, go to my favorite restaurant. On the last day of adventure camp the wonderful teachers had a carnival for us. I got to eat cotton candy and cupcakes before hopping in the jump castle. Then daddy and I got to hold bunnies, pet goats, and ride a horse! Whew, I am getting tired just thinking about all the things that I did.
It was a good summer. And, I think Sissy managed to have some fun too!

I can’t wait to see what Sissy has to say.
